Surfing in Delaware can be a year round sport if you have the proper equipment. The water temperatures along the coast of Delaware can go as low as the mid 30's farhenheit during January and February. These are extreem surfing conditions and require a full wetsuit with boots, gloves, and hoods that must be worn to prevent injury and chances of hyperthermia. Early Spring and late fall are great times to surf but require protection from the cooler waters along the coast. During the summer water temperatures along the Delaware coast can be as warm as the low 80's farhenheit, and a wetsuit is not required.
